Notice of Changes In Temporary NCUA Insurance Coverage
For Transaction Accounts All funds in a “noninterest-bearing transaction account” are insured in full by the National Credit Union
Administration through December 31, 2012. This temporary unlimited coverage is in addition to, and separate from, the coverage of at least $250,000 available to members under the NCUA’s general share insurance rules. Your Ability to Withdraw Funds at Cornerstone Federal Credit Union Our policy is to make funds from your deposits available to you on the same business day in which we receive your deposits. At that time, you can withdraw the funds in cash and we will use the funds to pay checks that you have written. For determining the availability of your deposits, every day is a business day with the exception of Saturdays, Sundays, and the following holidays: New Year’s Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. If you make a deposit before the credit union closes on a business day that we are open, we will consider that day to be the day of your deposit. However, if you make a deposit after the credit union has closed or on a day we are not open, we may consider that the deposit was made on the next business day we are open. In some cases, we will not make all of the funds that you deposit by check available to you on the same business day we receive your deposit. Funds may not be available until the second business day after the day of your deposit. However, the first $200 of your deposit will be available on the first business day. ~ We believe a check you deposit will not be paid. ~ You deposit checks totaling more than $5,000 on any one day. ~ You deposit a check that has been returned unpaid. ~ You have overdrawn your account repeatedly within the last six months. ~ You are making the deposit to a new membership account opened within the last 30 days. ~ There is an emergency, such as failure of communications or computer equipment.
