Cornerstone, a Belco Community Credit Union is committed to protecting the privacy of our members. In general, you can visit us on the World Wide Web without disclosing to us who you are or revealing any information about yourself.  There are several areas, however, that will collect certain information about you and you should know how we handle that information.

If you visit our Web site, we will collect and store information from the domain you used to access our site, the Internet address of the site from which you came, and the date and time of your visit. This information is used to measure the number of visitors to the various pages on our site, which will, in turn, help us to better serve our membership.

If you send an email, we will collect and store information that personally identifies you in order to process your email, form or application. This information is not sold to third parties. Due to the volume of email activity, these messages are deleted after they have been answered or your request has been completed.

If you visit a secure site, such as Online Branch, you will be asked for personal identification numbers which will give you access to the member only section of our Web site. This information enables us to regulate entry to the member only portions of our site and to measure member usage.  Any identifying information gathered is not sold to third parties.

If you link to another site from any of our pages, you are leaving our Web page, and we cannot be held responsible for any information that may be gathered at a linked site. We make every effort, however, to ensure that all linked sites follow privacy policies similar to ours to offer you maximum security and privacy.

 

Your Ability to Withdraw Funds at Cornerstone, a Belco Community Credit Union

Our policy is to make funds from your deposits available to you on the same business day in which we receive your deposits. At that time, you can withdraw the funds in cash and we will use the funds to pay checks that you have written.

For determining the availability of your deposits, every day is a business day with the exception of Saturdays, Sundays, and the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. If you make a deposit before the credit union closes on a business day that we are open, we will consider that day to be the day of your deposit. However, if you make a deposit after the credit union has closed or on a day we are not open, we may consider that the deposit was made on the next business day we are open.

Funds from wire transfers into your account will be available on the day we receive the transfer.

Longer Delays May Apply

In some cases, we will not make all of the funds that you deposit by check available to you on the same business day we receive your deposit. Funds may not be available until the second business day after the day of your deposit. However, the first $200 of your deposit will be available on the first business day.

If we are not going to make all of the funds from your deposit available on the first business day, we will notify you at the time you make your deposit. We will also tell you when the funds will be available. If your deposit is not made directly to one of our employees at the credit union office, or we decide to take this action after you have left the premises, we will mail you the notice on the day after we receive your deposit. Funds deposited by ATM will be available within two business days following the banking day of deposit.

In addition, funds you deposit by check may be delayed for a longer period if:

  • We believe a check you deposit will not be  paid.
  • You deposit checks totaling more than $5,000 on any one day.
  • You deposit a check that has been returned unpaid.
  • You have overdrawn your account repeatedly within the last six months.
  • You are making the deposit to a new membership account opened within the last 30 days.
  • There is an emergency, such as failure of communications or computer equipment.

We will notify you if we delay your ability to withdraw funds for any of these reasons, and we will tell you when the funds will be available. The funds will generally be available no later than the seventh business day after the day of deposit. If you will need the funds from a deposit right away, you should ask us when the funds will be available.

 

Mobile Deposit Availability of Funds

For purposes of determining the availability of funds, you agree that the photographing and transmitting of checks via this service does not constitute receipt and acceptance by the credit union. If an image you transmit is received and accepted before 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time on a business day that we are open, we consider that day to be the day of your deposit and your deposit will be posted by 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time. If an image you transmit is received and accepted after 9:00 a.m. and before 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time on a business day that we are open, we consider that day to be the day of your deposit and your deposit will be posted prior to end of that business day (typically 4:00 p.m.). If an image you transmit is received and accepted after 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time on a business day that we are open, we consider that the deposit was made on the next business day that we are open and will be posted the next business day by 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time. For determining the availability of your deposits, every day is a business day with the exception of Saturday and Sunday and the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther king Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

You understand that following our receipt and processing of the image, funds from the check will be made available for your withdrawal and/or use in accordance with the terms and conditions of our Funds Availability Policy previously provided to you, as amended from time to time, which requirements are set forth in Regulation CC of the Federal Reserve Board. If we are not going to make all of the funds from your deposit available on the first business day, we will notify you by email or USPS mail on the day after we receive your deposit. We will also tell you when the funds will be available. The funds will generally be available no later than the seventh business day after the day of deposit. Even after we have made the funds available to you and you have withdrawn the funds, you remain responsible if any deposit to your account is returned, rejected, or otherwise uncollected from the financial institution from which the check is to be paid. You also understand that credit is provisional until settlement is final. We reserve the right to delay availability up to 60 days from the date we receive payment for items transmitted though this service.
